Travelling to Work

Mary is 62 and for the past 25 years has driven herself to work in Derby from Nottingham. Following a minor accident on her way to work, as well as some changes in the road infrastructure, Mary started to lose confidence and began to dread the journey to work. Public transport isn’t practical for her particular journey, but Mary would be interested in participating in a car sharing or other similar scheme. However, she doesn’t know how to go about finding more information. Mary is unable to walk long distances so would need to share with a driver close to her place of work. Her employer has recently started offering flexi-time to staff, and she is also concerned that if she were reliant on a car sharing system, flexi-time may be complicated or out of the question.
